How does the Invisalign process work?
At your initial examination at our Straight Smile Centre, our dentists will decide if Invisalign is right for you. If you are a good candidate for Invisalign, you will receive a detailed treatment plan (and Invisalign cost estimate).
Your dentist will take impressions and photographs of your teeth and send these, with the treatment plan, to Align Technologies headquarters in San Jose. There, 3-D computer technology carefully transforms your doctor's instructions into a series of precisely customized aligners.
You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually - week by week, millimeter by millimeter - until you've achieved the intended result: straight teeth. Generally, you visit your doctor no more often than you would with braces and the length of treatment is about the same.
