Professional teeth whitening from our dentists at ProActive Dental Studio in Surrey is an effective way to help remove stains, brighten your smile and boost your self-confidence. Today we look at how the professional teeth whitening process works at our clinic.
Your teeth will naturally darken with age but a number of different foods and beverages can also cause your teeth to stain or discolour. Teeth whitening is a non-invasive treatment that can quickly and effectively help to restore brilliance to your smile.
Professional Teeth Whitening
Our team of professionals at ProActive dental Studio offer our patients custom teeth whitening systems to help remove stains and whiten teeth in the comfort of their own home.
Our professional tooth whitening treatment requires two visits to our Surrey dental clinic:
- At your first whitening appointment, impressions (molds) will be made of your teeth so that we can create custom whitening trays that snugly fit your teeth.
- When you drop by for your second appointment, you will be provided with your custom whitening trays along with the whitening solution, and full instructions on how to use the professional teeth whitening treatment in order to achieve the best results.
The Teeth Whitening Process
Your whitening trays will be lightweight, and comfortable to wear. Your dentist will provide you with specific instructions for your whitening treatment, however most patients are instructed to wear the trays with the whitening solution either twice a day for 30 minutes or overnight for a couple of weeks depending on the degree of staining and desired level of whitening.
On average treatment takes between 10-14 days to achieve the desired level of whiteness. If you are unsure how white is white enough ask your dentist for advice.
Once you've completed your treatment hang on to your whitening trays so that you have them ready for next time. All you will need to do is contact our office for more of the whitening solution.
Important Note: It is normal to experience tooth sensitivity during the time you are whitening your teeth, but it will subside shortly after you have completed your treatment. If you are experiencing side-effects from professional teeth whitening, contact our office for advice.
